What to expect:

                    

Book Your Consultation

During your first visit, you will be asked a series of questions. What hypnosis is and how it works will be explained, and the appointment for the session will be booked at that time. Your hypnotherapist will then customize your session specifically for your requirements. 

Book your session

During your session, you will be guided to a relaxing chair. Brainwave Entrainment Music will be playing in the background and you will get comfortable. You will put on glasses that have light pulses flashing in them and your eyes remain closed at all times. The pulses of light will penetrate through your eyelids giving the same effect as if turning your head towards light with your eyes closed and waving your hand in front of your face. You will be guided on a journey into total relaxation with Hypnosis using suggestions intended to change behaviors.  

 

Brainwaves are categorized in 4 categories : 

 

Beta

(13- 40 cycles per second) Beta is associated with our waking activity.


Alpha

(8-13 cycles per second) Alpha patterns appear when in wakefulness where there is a relaxed and effortless alertness. Light meditation and day dreaming.

 

Theta

4-7 cycles per second) Associated with creativity, dreams and Extra-sensory perception.

 

Delta

1/2 - 4 cycles per second) Delta is associated with deep sleep, this pattern is very slow. 

 

Brainwave Entrainment refers to the brain's electrical response to rhythmic sensory stimulation, such as pulses of sound or light. When the brain is given a stimulus, through the ears, eyes or other senses, it emits an electrical charge in response, called a Cortical Evoked Response. These electrical responses travel throughout the brain to become what you "see and hear". When the brain is presented with a rhythmic stimulus, such as a drum beat for example, the rhythm is reproduced in the brain in the form of these electrical impulses. If the rhythm becomes fast and consistent enough, it can start to resemble the natural internal rhythms of the brain, called Brainwaves. When this happens, the brain responds by synchronizing its own electric cycles. 

 

How it works:

If you listen closely during a session, you will hear small, rapid pulses of sound. As the session progresses, the frequency rate of these pulses is changed slowly, thereby changing your brainwave patterns and guiding your mind to various useful mental states. FFR can be useful because brainwaves are very much related to mental state. For example, a 10 Hz brainwave is associated with daydreaming, so a 10 Hz sound pattern would help reproduce the relaxed state in your brain. The same concept can be applied to many other mental states, including concentration, creativity and alertness. Hypnosis is a natural state of selective, focused attention, and even though it is 100% natural and normal, it remains one of the most fascinating phenomena of the human mind. Our ability to enter this unique state of consciousness opens the door to countless possibilities for healing, self-exploration and change. Hypnosis, called by different names in different cultures and times, has been recognized for thousands of years and used for many purposes. When we enter in the absorbed state of hypnosis, we can use our thoughts, talents and experiences in ways not usually available to us. 

With the help of a trained professional, we can develop innate, individual abilities that enable making desired changes in our thoughts, feelings and behaviors possible. For reasons that are as yet not clear, the focused state of hypnosis allows changes to intentionally be made "automatically", changes that we could not ordinarily consciously make.
